Colgate Magazine's Editor, Eleta Mayne should apologize and
retract her
writing repeated racial slurs in her articles, such as "Amplifying Alumni of
Color". By this, she means special preferences for alumni with
black or brown skin, which is wrongful discrimination based on skin color.

We should judge people, including alumni, not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. We should go by what Rev. Dr. Michael King Jr. (his legal name) in his 1963 speech in DC. There should be no discrimination of benefits for or against a person based on skin color. We should look within, to deeper characteristics, such as cranial capacity, IQ, SAT scores, and EEG brain wave coherence.
This racial slur should be immediately removed from the web site. An apology should be posted.
All Colgate alumni deserve equal support. She quotes Glymph saying "We want more alumni of color to claim their stake and their piece of Colgate." What if someone said "We want more White alumni to claim their stake and piece of Colgate." This would be outrageous. No one would make such a racist utterance.
She highlights the Association of Black Collegians and Black Student Union. Imagine the outrage if there was an Association of White Collegians or White Student Union. Groups that discriminate based on skin color have no place on the Colgate campus.
Colgate Admissions should be color blind, pay no attention to race, and only admit students based on academic performance in high school. It would be a good idea to remove any information about an applicant's race from the admissions process. Then let the chips fall where they may.
Aleta capitalizes the word "Black" yet types "white" in lower
case. For example "the Black women did not social with white men".

Aleta praised Angela Davis as a "person of color", even though
she provided the guns and rented a van used in the takeover by the Black
Panthers of a California Court room in 1970, taking 5 Whites hostage, then
killed judge Hon Haley and permanently paralyzed Prosecutor Gary Thomas.
Angela has no reason to preach to Colgate students, not only once but twice.

Each race color deserves to be capitalized, when used to define a group of people, for equal treatment. The same goes for Asians and Hispanics. Aleta exhibits the behavior of an anti-White bigot.
"People of Color" is a racial slur, when meant to dis-include White people from the group. White is a color too. In fact, when you spin a while of colors (Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet) it appears to be flesh colored.
Every human being has a color. I have never seen an invisible person, with no color.
Ironically, yet scientifically, black is the absence of color. However "Black" people are not truly black. They are brown colored.
"People of Color" implies "colorful people", unlike "bland and colorless" White people. How would African Americans like it if Whites were called "People of Creativity", "People Who Invent", "People of Larger Brain Size" or "People of Low Crime Rate", as if they were not included?
Even the National Association for the Advancement of
Colored People (NAACP) recognizes that Whites are People of Color too.
NAACP was founded by 3 White people, and accepted me as member #108682587.

Colgate Magazine should not allow racial slurs such as "N*gger", "H*nkie", or "People *f Color" to be tolerated nor published.
